Hello, world

This is the first post on a site that exists mostly because I wanted to see how little infrastructure a blog actually needs. It turns out: not much.

The whole thing is a folder of HTML files behind a small reverse proxy. There is no database, no application server, and nothing to keep patched beyond the operating system.

What to expect

Posts about software, the occasional note on infrastructure, and whatever else seems worth writing down.

Writing is thinking. The site is an excuse to do more of it.
